If your car is parked for long hours in the sun, to get the most of your Scenters hanging car air freshener open the pouch as much as possible, and then leaving the Scenters card inside the pouch place the Scenters card and the pouch under any seat (a Scenters under every seats works even better :)).
When parked in the sun with the windows up, the temperature inside the car can rise up to the range of 80-90 degree C. And the areas closest to windshield will be the hottest to touch. An open card air freshener hung on the rear view mirror (even one as good as a Scenters) is susceptible to extreme temperatures. Hence, placing your Scenters under the seat where it is relatively cooler would mean longer usage life.
