Custom sizes are available on a per job quote. Poplar is the best choice for a paint grade newel with its tight grain and economical cost. It can also be stained dark to match walnut, mahogany and Brazilian cherry hardwoods.The 4075S Solid Plain Box Newels are solid core, not hollow.
