Dangerous Waters

Lexi’s friends had disappeared into thin air under mysterious circumstances. First, Shari, Kat, and Lynnette disappeared when they were driving to Bend, Oregon for vacation. Lexi was supposed to be with them, but was called into work at the last minute. Before she could meet them, they were gone, vanished, disappeared, with no trace. That was five years ago. Lexi had gone to Bend every year since then, on the anniversary of their disappearance. She’d gone with Shari’s sisters, Mary and Kari. Then, three years later, Mary vanished under the same circumstances. Her car had been found, exactly as Shari’s had been. Parked in the same location, the hood up. Again, Lexi had planned to be with her, but extenuating circumstances had resulted in Mary traveling alone. Then Mary was gone, vanished, disappeared, with no trace – just like her sister. Now it was up to Lexi and Kari to search for their lost loved ones. When Kari pulls Lexi into an unwanted séance, Lexi scoffs. She’s critical, a definite non-believer; but when a spirit appears and attaches herself to Lexi, she doesn’t know how to handle such craziness. It started out as mysterious and terrifying, but in the end, the mysterious woman somehow ends up being the one person, or non-person, that Lexi can count on. When the woman somehow leads Lexi to the husband of yet another disappeared woman, they join forces to discover the unconscionable. Read more
